What to Do if Your Media Is Refused

Occasionally, your media may be refused and cannot be delivered. This guide outlines the steps to take in such situations.

The best way to avoid refusals is to always follow the guidelines provided with each assignment.

1. My Media Files Are Incorrectly Named

If your media are rejected due to naming issues, follow these steps:

  • Go to the "My Assignments" page and click on "Action Required".
  • This section lists all actions needed for your tasks, including naming corrections.
  • Click the relevant task to access the assignment page, then select "Rename Media."
  • On the next page, click the name of the photo to edit it, make the necessary changes, and click "Confirm" when done.

2. I Have Been Asked for Additional Photos

The Quality Control team may request additional photos if:

  • The required number of photos wasn’t submitted.
  • Some photos don’t adhere to the guidelines.

In such cases, follow these steps:

  • Go to the "My Assignments" page and click on "Action Required."
  • This section lists tasks requiring your attention.
  • Click the relevant assignment to upload additional pictures directly.

If you don’t have more photos but have a valid explanation, let us know. The Quality Control team will determine whether a reshoot is necessary.

3. I've Been Asked to Reshoot

If your submission doesn’t meet the guidelines, the Quality Control team may require a reshoot.

  • You’ll need to schedule an appointment with the on-site contact to redo the photos.
  • If you decline the reshoot, the assignment won’t be paid because the guidelines were not followed.

4- My Assignment Was Accepted by OCUS, but Later Refused by the Client

Even if OCUS approves your assignment, the client may still reject it.

In such cases:

  • The Quality Control team will investigate what doesn’t meet the client’s expectations.
  • If the issue can be resolved without your input, the team will handle it, and the assignment will be re-delivered.
  • If your assistance is needed, the OCUS team will contact you to resolve the issue.

By carefully following these steps and adhering to the guidelines, you can minimize refusals and ensure smooth delivery of your assignments.
